Engineer Jobs description
An architectural engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing building constructions; issuing tender on behalf of clients; giving instructions and offering advice to general contractors; reviewing the progress of work during construction; providing construction contract administration; reviewing subcontractor shop drawings; and involving in coordination with consultants, builders, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and government agencies. An architectural engineer typically reports to a construction director. Architectural engineer positions may be available with contractors, builders, construction companies, public welfare departments, etc.An architectural engineer should have a degree in architectural engineering along with an architectural license. A master's degree in architecture or a related field may be helpful. Prior experience as an engineer may be advantageous. Some architectural engineers have proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, 3DModeling, or visualization software tools. Proficiency with Revit, Sketchup, 3D Studio, or Photoshop may be advantageous for some architectural engineer positions.
