We are currently looking to fill the position of Solution Architect.Accountabilities:  Working under the direction of Enterprise Architecture, you will complement the solution development life-cycle and be responsible for: developing technical solutions that meet business requirements, incorporating enterprise principles & practices, aligning architecture to business strategy and opportunistically linking solution designs to strategic initiatives. You will work with diverse teams to deliver the complete solution. In addition to project-based assignments, you will be responsible for:Developing IT architectural standards;Developing multiyear technology strategies and associated roadmaps;Developing integration strategies for corporate standards and controls;Demonstrating an understanding of business processes and risk management;Providing leadership and alignment of project tasks to strategic plan and timeline expectations;Working with project teams to develop solutions that align with IT standards and roadmap;Providing ongoing insight into industry best practices.You will be responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.Skills, Capabilities and Experience:  As the ideal candidate you must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, collaborative, working with project teams to develop schedules, and able to handle multiple priorities.Additional qualifications include:Bachelor of Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems Management or equivalent;Minimum 5 years’ experience working in an Information Technology role of which at least 3 years spent in a Solution Architecture position;Excellent presentation and communication skills both oral and written, specifically the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business language;Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills;Enthusiastic, organized and adaptable to change;Understanding of the architecture of systems;Maintaining awareness and knowledge of contemporary standards, practices, procedures and methods;Working knowledge of foundational domains (business, application, data, infrastructure, network)Understanding of NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) standards considered an asset.Reports to: Enterprise ArchitectSalary: Commensurable with qualifications and experience.Form of Application:  Click on APPLY.
