POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
KKCS is seeking an experienced construction program scheduler with expert knowledge in design-build and design-bid-build project delivery methodologies for a full-time Program Scheduler opportunity in downtown Los Angeles. The position is scheduled to begin as soon as possible.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and maintains program schedules; identifies relationships, logic, milestones and constraints for construction of various types.
Monitors and actively participates in project and program issues while administering best practices and standards.
Performs needed QA/QC on program schedules to conform with program goals for various project types.
Solicits accurate and timely schedule updates from project team while performing schedule impact analyses and makes recommendations.
Creates and develops conceptual what-if schedules for large complex multi-year projects.
Prepares ad-hoc reports as directed by management.
When duties and responsibilities change and develop, the job description will be reviewed and subject to changes of business necessity.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Eight (8) years of full-time paid professional experience in scheduling for an owner or general contractor, preferably working on multiple educational facilities or public works projects
Knowledge of design-bid-build and design-build project delivery methodologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Superior organizational and planning skills
Proficiency in Primavera 15.1 or above and MS Office Suite
Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
Knowledge of Public Works Agency requirements and how schedules are impacted by these requirements (agencies such as DSA, CEQA, etc.)
Experience in using SQL or MS Access to retrieve data from various data sets
