Primary ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Landscape Architect:
The right candidate must have demonstrable design, and organizational skills combined with an aesthetic that covers all genres of design. Ideally this individual will be results-driven with some project management skills and significant experience and competency in construction documentation and a knowledge of the built environment. We are looking for a landscape architect/designer with strong design and project management skills, including experience ranging from site specific design to master planning to construction document preparation and construction administration.
As a team based, collaborative firm, we have a wide range of project types ranging from Healthcare, Science and Technology, Civic and Federal projects, both nationally and internationally.
Working with us, you will: Prepare design concepts and diagrams, design development and graphic illustrations. Participate in collaborative studio design meetings.
Research and summarize land development regulations and zoning ordinances. Collaborate with senior landscape architectural designers to compile data and prepare alternative design solutions.
Work in collaborative integrated teams of professionals that include civil engineers, architects, building systems engineers, planners, transportation planners and environmental scientists.
Consult with product manufacturers, evaluate and select construction materials. Develop construction documents and specifications. Reviewing shop drawings. Construction site observations/visits as required.

Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture. Master’s degree a plus. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in landscape architecture working in an integrated architectural/engineering design environment. Proven track record of success working on complex projects. Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment. Intellectual curiosity and ability to think creatively with a thoughtful approach to problem solving. Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
Other requirements;
In-depth knowledge of 3D Modeling (Sketch-Up/Grasshopper and Rhino), preferred.
Fluency in Autodesk Civil 3D latest version and Adobe Creative Suite. Solid to Strong Hand Graphics.
Technical proficiency in grading, hardscape, soils, plant materials, and construction detailing.
Ability to incorporate sustainability concepts into overall design concepts, LEED accredited professional preferred.
