The time is right to join HNTB Corporation! HNTB is currently seeking a Senior Document Controls Analyst in our Atlanta, Georgia office.
Job Summary
Provides leadership and expertise in researching and implementing document controls tools and best practices. Administers the document lifecycle for engineering and construction documents. Responsible for defining standards and workflows for document. Administers the collection, authorization, publication, storage and retrieval of documents. Manages document processes and systems to ensure control and availability. Defines normal standards and workflows for document management as well as administers the collection, authorizing, publication, storage and retrieval of documents. Provides training on documentation and record retention policies, records destruction, disaster recovery, procedures and instructions to site personnel.
Essential Responsibility
Defines standards and workflows for document management as well as leads the collection, authorization, publication, storage and retrieval of documents.
Establishes (within corporate guidelines) the document controls strategy and systems to include but not be limited to the authoring, approval, publishing, version control and archiving of all project related engineering and construction documents and related business policies and procedures.
Manages document processes and systems to ensure control and availability of documentation to site personnel.
Reviews new and revised documentation for suitability and conformance to HNTB standards including record retention.
Performs and/or supports quality reviews and audits associated with document controls procedures.
Provides leadership, supervision and training to less experienced document control classifications.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
Develop document control plans, procedures, policies and communication to team regarding compliance
Basic Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or Business
7 years related experience
In lieu of education, 11 years project controls and/or technical administrative support experience
Preferred Qualification/Skills
CDT (Construction Document Technician) or PMP (Project Management Professional)
Experience with transit and FTA funded projects
General Work Conditions
Office Environment: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently, and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use.
