JOB SUMMARY: The Project Quality Control Manager is responsible for overall management of project quality control and quality control personnel. This is a field-based position which will be traveling to remote project sites in Alaska and other states. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: \u2022\u00a0Responsible for overall management and implementation of project Quality Control and have the authority to act in all project quality control matters for the STG Pacific LLC. \u2022\u00a0Direct inspections and audit programs, initiate corrective actions based on review of data or customer input. \u2022\u00a0Ensure that procedures and processes initiated and performed by project employees are done in accordance with safety procedures. \u2022\u00a0Coordinate and lead project site meetings for quality control. \u2022\u00a0Organize and maintain project documentation for the project team and provide appropriately to the client. \u2022\u00a0Assist with managing of daily project reporting including: timekeeping; environmental and permit compliance; daily reports. \u2022\u00a0Prepares correspondence as needed. \u2022\u00a0Work with Construction Superintendent with updates to project schedule. \u2022\u00a0Maintains effective communication and coordination among all project participants.\u00a0 \u2022\u00a0Become fully acquainted with the requirements of each project contract you work on. \u2022\u00a0Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. \u2022\u00a0Perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position would supervise QC personnel. Job Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: \u2022\u00a0Knowledge of job costing and accounting procedures preferred.\u00a0 \u2022\u00a0Knowledge of computer-based construction and scheduling programs preferred. \u2022\u00a0Ability to professionally and effectively communicate with employees, business partners, and clients via written and verbal communication methods. \u2022\u00a0Ability to work independently and work cooperatively with others in a friendly and positive manner. \u2022\u00a0Ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts, both logical and interpersonal, and make decisions based on available information. Ability to use judgment and discretion. \u2022\u00a0Ability to handle stressful situations and effectively plan and organize duties to meet deadlines. \u2022\u00a0Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. \u2022\u00a0Ability to work with concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail. \u2022\u00a0Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings, including host preparation meetings. \u2022\u00a0Ability to travel to project sites for extended periods of time. \u2022\u00a0Ability to work a flexible schedule. \u2022\u00a0Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.\u00a0 \u2022\u00a0Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. \u2022\u00a0Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\u00a0 \u2022\u00a0Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. \u2022\u00a0Ability to interpret and communicate project plans and drawings. \u2022\u00a0Adequate knowledge of database software, spreadsheet software, scheduling software, job costing software and word processing software. Microsoft packages preferred. \u2022\u00a0Ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe and efficient manner. QUALIFICATIONS: \u2022\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management. \u2022\u00a0Five years of construction experience required; all or part of that to be Alaska construction experience. \u2022\u00a0Current Construction Quality Management for Contractors course preferred. \u2022\u00a0Experience with SWPPP inspections preferred. \u2022\u00a0CESCL certification preferred. \u2022\u00a0Experience using the USACE QCS Program in RMS preferred. \u2022\u00a0Valid state driver\u2019s license and must be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of STG Pacific\u2019s Driving Policy. \u2022\u00a0Ability to pass a drug, driving and background screening. WORKING CONDITIONS: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. STG Pacific has a fast paced multi-tasking office environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. This is a field-based position which will be traveling to remote project sites outside of Anchorage, Alaska. At times, work is performed outside of the office at indoor and outdoor job sites. Adaptability regarding schedule and design changes. Work may require occasional weekend and\/or evening work.
