Our Corporate Solutions Group is currently seeking a Senior Occupancy Planner to join and help our team successfully manage space planning, occupancy planning and analyses and assigned strategic relocation projects throughout all facilities within the portfolio. 

What this job involves?

Being in the forefront

As a Senior Occupancy Planner, you will serve as the central point of contact for all business units regarding headcount growth/reductions and workplace requirements in the client’s corporate real estate portfolio. This role collaborates with customers to develop workplace solutions that align with the business strategy and that optimize space utilization within corporate guidelines. Also, you will develop space programming documents and complex migration move scenario plans in a fast-paced environment.

Having the know-how

You’ll need to have a great knowledge in Corporate Real Estate and Occupancy Planning. In this role, you will manage relocations including the development and execution of project planning activities, timing of group moves/relocations, migration and phasing plans, stack and block plans, test-fits and final relocations. You’ll be charged with developing occupancy analysis reporting to effectively communicate occupancy/vacancy ratios, headcount projections and workplace conditions. Lastly, you will need to be able to develop complex occupancy scenario plans and to analyze workplace data and engage with customer to develop innovative solutions.

Being a trailblazer and breaking new ground

To be successful in this role, you should be able to perform the following responsibly and foster critical relationships between various individuals and organizations:

Develop, manage and coordinate the moves, adds and changes (MAC) process for facilities Business Unit leadership to collect headcount forecasts, resolve headcount forecast discrepancies between leadership’s numbers and those collected at the group-level;

Develop sources and negotiate required services to be provided by teams (Facilities Operations, IT, Security, external Vendors) to ensure appropriate resources for relocations Corporate Real Estate to review and resolve planning forecasts, needs, concerns, and issues;

Develop sources, negotiates and manages external vendor relationships for relocations, furniture and construction related to relocations.

A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field; Or, a minimum of 5 years-experience in an architectural designer or interior designer role, in addition to 3 years of occupancy planning experience; also along with at least 3 years of experience in an occupancy planning role.

Dynamic and Highly Skilled

You’ll need to be dynamic and technologically savvy and utilize software to support planning solutions and communicate ideas clearly with planning team and lines of businesses. You will be successful if you have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot table, vlook-up, cell calculations), CAFM tools and AutoCAD (basic test-fits and square foot calculations). Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Projects and ability to consolidate data and floor plans into Power Point for presentations to client and lines of business is highly valued. You’ll be effective in your role by learning to ask the right questions to understand the underlying needs of our clients. You’ll discover how to be proactive and innovative with solutions for your stakeholders.
