WSP is currently initiating a search for an Architectural Project Lead

based in our Los Angeles, California

office .

Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical leadership to develop construction, contract documents at all levels of production

Project or task management; able to scope, track and guide project progress to achieve desired results and successful completion

Responsible for coordination with other design disciplines, including roadway, structures, hydraulics/drainage, storm water, traffic, electrical, utilities, right of way

Responsible for compliance and verification of all codes, guidelines and governance requirements relevant to team projects

Quality assurance and quality control

Guide and develop junior staff

Interact with clients, lead technical project design meetings

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Registered Architect in the State of California

Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience

Strong knowledge of construction drawing standards and building codes, as well as ADA and NFPA compliance

Some transit architecture related experience

Solid understanding of project management tools (Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project)

Solid understanding of architectural tools (AutoCAD, Revit)

Attention to detail and highly organized

Self-starter, able to work independently and able to multi-task

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to work within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient with Revit

Registered Architect in the States of Oregon, Washington, and/or Nevada

NCARB certified
