The role...

Choice Hotels is seeking

a Design Project Coordinator to provide a progressive level of support to the Manager, Design Projects through program management, data analysis as well as interior design -related projects and tasks. In addition, the coordinator will collaborate with internal stakeholders to execute program requirements as well as proactively be an integral part of the interior design team. This role will serve as the primary source of contact for Signature brand programs. This position is expected to have a working knowledge of commonly-used interior concepts, practices, and procedures within the hospitality


What you will do...

Brand Program Management

Support brand programs including Comfort Move to Modern (M2M), Comfort Reimaging Incentive and Sleep Inn Designed to Dream Certification.

Process and assign waiver and design plan review requests.

Evaluate waiver requests and design plans based on program requirements, contractual obligations and compliance with brand standards.

Record and maintain all program - related information in program database systems.

Aggregate and issue weekly design review decisions to Compliance department.

Manage hotels pre-certification process for Reimaging and Incentive program.

Manage Designed to Dream Certification program.

Provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders through program email and phone support.

Data Analysis

Track and report out monthly progress for all programs and explore opportunities for improvement.

Analyze program data and develop relevant reports, with input from Manager, that capture the overall state of the program in terms of activity levels, issues, various trends and patterns, etc.

Use diagnosis reports to develop solutions that improve processes, service delivery, customer experience and team's ability to meet the program goals.

Interior Design

Review design plans and FF&E submittals as assigned by Manager

Update FF&E specifications on a quarterly basis.

Aid with interpretation of rules and regulations and brand standards.

Develop and maintain hotel openings portfolio as directed by Manager and reporting tool to track trends and patterns related to FF&E submittals processing function.

Skills you have..

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, or related field required

Minimum 1-2 years relevant work experience required, experience in the hotel or hospitality industry is preferred.

Project management experience is preferred.

Strong knowledge and proficiency of computer software programs including but not limited to Smartsheet, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel; Photoshop and AutoCAD a plus

Ability to work with large amounts of data facts, figures, analyze them to improve processes.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of construction and prototype plans; furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) specifications; and interior design cost module.

Strong competency skills in customer service, decision-making, analysis and problem solving, priority setting and time management.

Must be flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Detail oriented and strong organizational ability.

High integrity and ability to work independently.

Ability to travel up to 10% of time
