EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a Building Engineer with a DC 3rd Class Engineer's License in Washington, DC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct a routine assessment of the building systems operations. Perform tests, tours and analyzes data to assure the proper operation of building machinery. Candidate will perform minor repairs, preventive maintenance and service requests on building equipment, machinery and components located in the interior or exterior of the building. Honeywell), electrical, plumbing, lighting and lighting controls and fire/life safety. Work requires an abundance of walking, bending, kneeling, and working in uncomfortable positions. Shift is currently Friday and Saturdays 2:30p - 10:30p; Sunday 6:30a-2:30p; Wednesday and Thursdays 10:30p – 6:30a.
Must have 3 – 6 years’ experience in a commercial environment.
Must possess DC 3
class engineers license.
Must have EMS/BAS experience.
Must be willing to adhere to company policies, work safely and be a self-starter.
Must be able to pass a background check on Credit and Criminal.
Perform maintenance on all plumbing in buildings including water and sanitation systems.
Knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing split systems.
Ability to paint as needed.
Able to work overtime and holidays.
Completes service calls using best industry practices and in allotted time spans.
Completes preventative maintenance tickets using best industry practices and in allotted time spans.
Must have basic computer skills to include email, internet, excel and word.
Perform other duties as assigned.
