A Day in the Life…

Evaluate and document existing workplace environments and recent projects to understand qualitative and quantitative challenges and opportunities

Assist in production of presentations, conceptual plans, and test fits for potential new projects

Develop designs internally for smaller refresh and reconfiguration projects, under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Design

Participate in select projects and assisting in review of designs by external consultants

Support department initiatives, including standards program, environmental graphics procedures, and mapping program

Manage materials, furniture manufacturers and systems including maintenance of sample library and coordination with vendor representatives

What we are looking for…

Prior experience in a full-service architecture or design firm

Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite

Proven knowledge of residential and interior design projects

Ability to interact with clients (both internal and external) at all levels of the organization

1-2 years in a full-service architecture or design firm with direct exposure to conceptual planning, document delivery and construction observation for commercial office space

Demonstrated proficiency in digital illustration tools (such as Adobe software or SketchUp)

At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship

Master’s program in Architecture or Interior Design

Accredited Professional Program

Additional course work in real estate or construction management

Minimum GPA of 3.0

The approximate dates of this internship are June 2020 through January 2021

Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 30 hours per week) for the duration of the internship

At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program

Must possess unrestricted work authorization

Housing: Interns must provide their own housing for the duration of their internship program.

Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.
