Yum! Brands is seeking an Azure Solutions Architect/Engineer to join our team of IT professionals supporting Yum’s Cloud Migration Initiatives and ongoing new solution implementations into Microsoft Azure. The primary place of performance will be in Louisville, KY. This position is for full-time employment including a comprehensive benefits package.
As an Azure Solution Architect, the candidate will be focused on delivering a successful Azure migration and any future implementations. The candidate will be responsible for the analysis, design and planning of infrastructure and architecture of solutions in Azure, and other related technologies. This role will interact with internal and external stakeholders including Brands - KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut to analyze requirements; architect and present proposed solutions; and configure and deploy accepted systems. The candidate will partner with other teams to migrate our applications and infrastructure to Azure cloud solutions.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with both development and Infrastructure teams. Additionally, the candidate will interact and communicate with senior IT and business leaders to drive key decisions and implementation.
In addition to completing technical work, the person in this role shall:
Deliver detailed designs, implementation plans, operation guides and test plans/test cases.
Work collaboratively with the global team of engineers, architects and management.
Develop and maintain roadmaps.
Passion for cloud technologies and a desire for continuous learning.
Minimum 7 years’ experience with Microsoft Azure platform or Hybrid Clouds solutions.
Ten years design and implementation experience of infrastructure architectures. This includes server design, networking, load balancing, disaster recovery and storage components
Minimum 7 years of experience with virtualization technologies from any vendor (Microsoft, VMware, Amazon, Citrix, Xen or KVM).
Strong knowledge of architecture, design, and system engineering of enterprise systems using Enterprise Architecture, ITSM, Project Management, Process Improvement, and Maturity methodologies and frameworks (TOGAF, SDLC, ITIL, PMP, Six Sigma, COBIT, CMMI).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minor guidance.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
Certifications: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Cloud Platform and Infrastructure is highly preferred.
