Solution Architect (Cyber)
Cyber Security Solution Architect will be an enterprise wide technical resource and thought leader on IT security technologies and practices for agile and innovative cyber solutions within Integrated Defense Solutions. The Cyber Solutions Architect will assist with evaluating and establishing the information security strategy and program, with responsibilities including creating strategy, policy, meeting regulatory compliance, risk identification and mitigation, security architecture and standards.

Owns the development of solutions for Cyber opportunities ensuring the ensuring security solutions align with business needs, architecture and technical standards.
Works with business development and operations to understand proper security architectural needs of customers and meet with customers as necessary to vet solutions.
Proactively reviews and analyzes new or proposed security systems, tools and methodologies, assessing their risk and their value in support of security strategy and solutions.
Provides technical expertise and guide the administration of security tools that control and monitor information security,
Recommends and designs security controls to support the data security needs of systems being proposed
Stays up-to-date on relevant security trends. Develops and maintains a network of contacts that can provide information.
Meets with and determine business unit regulatory compliance requirements and ensure security meets expectations.
Consults with business development and capture management regarding options/ideas on improving cost/approach to security.
Assists with the development, documentation, implementation, and communication of an enterprise-wide information security strategy and policies for potential customers
Defines and designs an overall information security architecture to address internal/external threats as well as all platforms
Assists with the development, implementation, and management of security controls, processes, and policies as a result of analysis, research, and recommendations.
Conducts research and 2-5 year planning to ensure the organization is continually aware of industry security trends, and best practices to propose new technology and tools investments.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities, but may lead or assign project tasks to team members.
Typical Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in computer science or related technical field; plus eight years of increasingly responsible security design and implementation experience on multiple platforms; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of four years of experience effectively leading security requirements gathering, design, and deployment of solutions.
Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, preferred.
Demonstrated track record of providing strong competent technical leadership on multiple security projects, required
Required Skills and Education
Bachelor Degree in appropriate discipline (e.g. Engineering, Computer Sciences) and a minimum of 10 years of experience, including 5 years of IT experience.
Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively at the most senior levels of government (customer) or corporate management (company) to articulate the understanding of their mission needs and requirements, and to communicate the value and benefit of BAE Systems solutions
Experience leading technical solution development, in particular, architecture and CONOPS development using MBSE methodologies including SysML, for software-intensive system integration, support, maintenance, and sustainment
Expertise and hands-on experience with engineering development environment and industry-leading MBSE tools, software development tools, and PLM systems
IT specific domain knowledge, including (i) ITIL; (ii) Cybersecurity and Information Assurance; (iii) Enterprise IT infrastructure; and (iv) Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) systems
Knowledge of system development methodologies including requirement engineering, configuration management, technical baseline management, cost estimating and analysis, and decision support methodologies
Knowledge and understanding of systems engineering processes, industrial engineering, production and manufacturing, and supply chain systems
Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, including scope, cost and schedule, and resource management
Experience supporting large-scale proposal efforts, comprising a diverse team of technical and operational specialists, and involving the development of novel or innovative new solutions
Experience collaborating across organizations and OEMs, participating in industry forums and conferences, writing and presenting technical papers.
Strong ability to think strategically and communicate effectively at the most senior levels of government (customer) or corporate management (company) to articulate the understanding of their mission needs and requirements, and to communicate the value and benefit of BAE Systems solutions
Experience leading technical solution development, in particular, CONOPS and enterprise/system architecture using leading systems engineering methodologies including architecture frameworks, SysML or UML, for software-intensive system integration, support, maintenance, and sustainment
Strong knowledge of architecture, design, and system engineering of mission critical weapon systems and enterprise systems
Experience in supporting large-scale proposal efforts comprising a diverse team of technical and operational specialists, and in writing major proposal volumes involving the development of novel or innovative new solutions
Hands-on experience in developing software and managing software teams
Expertise and hands-on experience with integrated data environments (IDE) and industry-leading MBSE tools, software development tools, processes and best practices

Information Security Frameworks and Standards (ISO, COBIT, NIST, etc.).
