CAVA is a fast-growing culinary brand with a portfolio of fast casual restaurants and a packaged goods line dedicated to fresh, Mediterranean inspired, better-for-you cuisine. Born from a full service restaurant collaboration between three first-generation Greek American childhood friends in the Washington, D.C. area, our chef-driven fast casual format has currently more than 45 restaurants with further expansion ahead.

We’re looking for a motivated Design Manager with a head for project management, ready to take their career to the next level. You will be a key driver in the development pipeline at CAVA, working on projects across both coasts, in the ten states and counting where we’re opening our restaurant doors. As a Design Manager, you will help implement the CAVA vision and construct our brand strategy at the restaurant level.

You will:

Help oversee design process of new restaurant pipeline to ensure a seamless transition from new deal, to design, to construction.

Assist Real Estate and Development teams in the evaluation of prospective locations, including:

Preparing test fits/3D models

Performing or coordinating Code analysis to flag potential permitting issues

Reviewing and assessing existing building conditions and/or Landlord-provided base building drawings

Providing design-related feedback on Landlord Work Letter.

Preparing design studies for internal review (to include signage & trade branding design)

Coordinate due diligence efforts during pre-design phase to develop sufficient and accurate information necessary to complete design.

Assist in preparing design kick-off packages to introduce team members to new projects.

Review design documents to ensure CAVA’s design standards/requirements are accurately reflected.

Assist with reviews of contractor shop drawings or responses to design questions (RFIs).

Support Project Manager in administering design contracts.

Maintain detailed files for all projects in with CAVA filing standards.

Provide input into corporate decisions regarding store design and branding strategy.

Maintain relationships with qualified design vendors in existing and new markets as CAVA expands

You have:

3-5 years retail/hospitality design experience

Bachelor's degree in Architecture / Interior Architecture

Comprehension and working knowledge of building plans.

Basic AutoCAD experience, BIM experience (Revit, Rhino, ArchiCad, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Microsoft Office Suite,

Ability to multitask and manage high-volume tasks and responsibilities

Highly organized and self-motivated

Travel: Moderate travel both on east and west coast

Portfolio and work samples shall be included for consideration.
