Main focus will be overseeing the daily operation in SJU to include aircraft ground handling, warehouse and traffic office operations. The operations manager will report directly to Station Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct interviews and manage the hiring process of new employees
Develop station staffing manpower schedules based on flight operations and customer service.
Conduct and annual performance reviews and evaluations for station employees.
Maintain and manage all station employees while ensuring all files are organized, current and complete.
Manage access control of the station by ensuring policy and procedures are followed.
Establish rules and procedures as required to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
Participate in the station fiscal year budget planning and planning.
Participate in a weekly operations conference call.
Attend meetings and provide feedback for all local station operations meetings with the airport and any other local regulatory agencies.
Prepare weekly statistics, operational issues and station status.
Manages all warehouse/ramp operation in a manner that meets all established SOP and provide outstanding CS.
Manages all ramp operation to provide prompt, efficient and on time service for all flights operations in/out SJU.
Manages SJU operation in compliance with all security and cargo claims directives to limit Amerijet exposure to unnecessary risk and negative customer service.
Manages station TSA/CBP/FAA auditing and maintains all corresponding files.
Manages all inbound/outbound freight received in stations and examines freight for visible damages.
Manages and coordinates all flight activity scheduled and charter alike
Conduct regular inspection of warehouse, office and ramp evaluate any visible damage to the facility, equipment or on hand cargo.
Conduct daily inspection of all Amerijet and leased/rental warehouse and ramp support equipment, including the keeping of a properly organized maintenance record/file of Amerijet equipment (forklifts , Loader, van etc.)
Conduct periodic inspection of the CS records to ensure and secure the proper documentation for the on time delivery of Government Warehouse (GO) bound shipments.
Secure the filing of all Amerijet documents such as Import/Export awb’s check cash record, Transfer manifest, flight folders etc.
Organize and secure proper use of all furniture and cabinets of CS and traffic office.
Will oversee all claims submitted to the SJU station.
