Plans Examiner $26.62 per hour There is one opening with Yakima County Public Services, Building and Fire Safety. This position performs reviews and investigations of building plans for compliance with Federal, State, and County building and fire regulations; provides interpretation of regulations; evaluates proposed alternative methods of compliance; provides advice and information to design professionals and the public. Experience and Training: Bachelor's Degree in Building Construction, Engineering, Architecture, Building Inspection, Fire Science, Safety & Health or a related field and Two years' experience related to plans examination, safety and health management, investigation and inspection, building and or construction management and techniques; or similar field or the equivalent education and experience to perform the essential duties of the job.
