SUMMARY: The primary objective of this position is to support engineering management by supervision of and/or self-performing work to develop layouts and drawings for all assigned projects and develop consistent drafting standards, policies, procedures, and drawing presentation from project inception to as-built completion. Responsibilities include: Effective management and implementation of drafting standards ; maintain communication with design engineers to assist in the design of assigned projects; supervise drafting project layouts and details for assigned projects as needed including performing drafting as required by work load; ensure document accuracy and project coordination between all disciplines; meet regularly with project/design engineers to meet all project expectations and deadlines. Other duties include: provide field verification as required to complete project documents or facility as-built drawings; ensure Tyson CAD standards, policies, and procedures on all work; review and update consultant's drawings as required complying with Tyson's drafting standards and archiving policies; search data base, scan, copy or reproduce documents to assist engineering management and/or to meet Tyson archiving policies; provide plots, prints, and copies as directed; assist in administration of project shop drawings, submittals, and archiving; develop and maintain knowledge of food processing industry practices including USDA and OSHA regulations and specific discipline standards; maintain and further develop AutoCAD and other related computer program skills and any other tasks as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:


Education: B.S. or Associate Degree in Engineering or Architectural Discipline Preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of AutoCAD and/or Revit and projectexperience.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Computer Skills: Knowledge and use of computer programs, spreadsheet,database and scheduling programs. Microsoft exposure preferred.

Specific Skills: Capable of working on multi-faceted projects of anymagnitude while requiring limited supervision; demonstrated ability tocomplete complex projects on time. Exceptional organization skills. Ability to work with outside vendors and contractors to facilitate work and be able to execute Site scans, registration, stitching, and conversion to Revit.

Supervisory: None

Travel: Minimum of 12 trips per year.
