Profile

We are a full service interior design firm specializing in high end residential and small scale commercial based in New York, also doing work in San Francisco and Miami. We are seeking to bring a fresh, talented and motivated Project Manager to join our team. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, have a strong knowledge of interior design day-to-day processes, and be a solution oriented thinker. They must also be a highly self-motivated individual, detail-oriented, resourceful, highly collaborative and able to keep up with fast pace projects. This person should be customer service-oriented, eager to learn and possess strong organizational skills.

* Project planning - schedule all client and vendor meetings as well as installations. Manage daily, weekly project planning

* Site visits as needed - site measure, manage job-site labor, meet vendors / subcontractors on site,

* cataloging of existing items

* Manage project schedules

* Maintain communication with principal and project teams regarding significant events

* Source materials per project requirements

* Drafting - Industry standard Full CD sets in AutoCAD - including furniture plans, architectural details, elevations, ceiling design, walls, flooring, window, kitchen and bathrooms, custom millwork and other built-ins, custom furniture, finish schedules.

* Sketches, 3d models and renderings a bonus

* Obtain information from vendors. Verify/review details on vendor orders

* Client meeting preparation - meeting agendas, client presentations, samples boards

* Client meeting follow up procedures - generating and distributing meeting notes, returning all materials samples and catalogues to their appropriate place in the studio, review next steps for each item discussed

* Ability to generate project scope of work, spec books, project budgets, finish schedules & FFE selections and distribute to all relevant parties

* Vendor/Contractor communication throughout the various phases of the project

* Enter all items in Studio Designer and prepare all Proposals and POs

* Purchasing

* Track/set up all deliveries, shipments and returns

* Maintain status report of all purchased items

* Custom Workroom Management

* Work with bookkeeper to reconcile project accounts

Requirements

* Degree in Interior Design or Architecture

* Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Interior Designer or Project Manager

* High level of proficiency with AutoCAD

* Proficient with Studio Designer

* Strong organizational and conceptual skills, to complete projects flawlessly

* Prior experience managing staff with excellent team building skills

* Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with architects, subcontractors, vendors and client

* Strong written, verbal communication and listening skills the ability to listen, process and communicate clearly

* Ability to shift between responsibilities listed above on multiple projects at a time

* Can handle a fast pace environment and works well with systems
