WHAT YOU WILL NEEDnnEducation: HS Diploma or GED required with Drafting Degree or Drafting Certificate. Experience: Minimum 3 years of CAD experience; Proficient in AutoCAD & SketchUp.Minimum 4 years of hands-on work experience in an architectural/residential design field. Required Skills: Must have working knowledge of current IRC & ORSC codes and prescriptive bracing.Must have extensive working knowledge of the construction process, terms, and building components of residential buildings.Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to attend to details.Ability to receive, execute, and communicate ideas effectively along with strong interpersonal, verbal, listening, and written skills. Interaction with Sales and Construction Managers regarding design opportunities.Periodic interaction with clients for custom builds investors and worker housing projects.Ability to quickly determine what is and is not feasible.nSkilled in the use of computers (PC, Windows-based operating environment) to include hands-on use of Microsoft office suite.Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.
