We are seeking an experienced\u00a0 Virtual Construction Technician \u00a0for our Denver District office located in Denver, CO . Responsibilities: Essential Functions\/Responsibilities: Provide laser scanning, scan registration, scan geo-referencing, and scan deliverables for projects. Assist in creating accurate 3D models as needed for constructability reviews, field production\/lift drawings and work flow planning\/management. Assist in assembling shop drawing submittals from coordinated 3D MEP models provided by project subcontractors. Properly document time on a daily basis for developing metrics to optimize company procedures. Provide monthly updates to Virtual Construction Manager regarding project status, standards adherence and any special project conditions\/requirements. Assist in providing 4D schedules for construction sequencing and tracking critical path evolutions. Assist in providing weekly updates to 4D schedules to ensure project team members have relevant data for trade coordination meetings and OAC meetings. Provide support as needed to facilitate weekly MEP coordination meetings. Support General Superintendent and project team with 3D-generated site logistics and site phasing for project pursuits and active projects. Maintain and expand knowledge base in advanced 3D software through continued use and training. Provide 4D model files for business development and pursuit needs. Assist in the creation of models and renderings to support pursuits in business development. Work with estimating staff to develop accurate material quantities and quantity take-offs from the models as required. Education and Experience: Bachelor\u2019s degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering plus 0-4 years of experience Desired Knowledge, Skills and Aptitudes: Desire to work outside, on-site, in all seasons, in Denver and the mountains Laser scanning experience, Trimble hardware experience preferred Experience or familiarity with surveying methods Strong verbal and graphic communication skills Self-motivated, able to work independently or within a team Strong understanding of construction documents, able to accurately interpret prints Possess technical knowledge of commercial building design and documentation Strong knowledge base with Autodesk BIM related software Basic understanding of scheduling software Software Proficiencies: Required: Trimble RealWorks Autodesk Recap Pro Autodesk Civil 3D Autodesk Navisworks Autodesk Revit Autodesk AutoCAD Bluebeam Synchro Desired: Goggle Sketch Up Google Earth Faro Scene The PCL family of companies are consistently ranked among the best companies to work for, and we aspire to be the most respected builder, renowned for excellence, leadership, and unsurpassed value.
