This position is responsible for self-performing High Performance Building assessments and Energy and Water Audits, as well as assist with Property Condition Assessments (PCA) and building surveys as part of our Agency and Consultative Solutions service offering.
Project Manager duties while self-performing PCAs and Energy and Water Audits.
Coordinates and directs staff assigned to projects on a project by project basis on which technical review will be performed.
Provides technical direction and guidance to Project Managers on building issues.
Self performs building system surveys as appropriate by client scope.
Oversees preparation of same by other CBRE staff members and consultants.
Reviews and technically edits reports to ensure accuracy, completeness and quality.
Ensures on-time delivery of reports and accompanying correspondence to clients.
Communicates with clients and management to discuss and develop solutions to recognized architecture and engineering concerns.
Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying new and existing legislation; anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on necessary action in the areas of building systems.
Delivers outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to clients needs.
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, historic preservation, construction/building science, or building facilities management.
Registration as a Professional Engineer or “Registered Architect” preferred
Certification as a Certified Energy Modeler (CEM) or hold BPI certification.
8 years experience. A minimum of 5 years experience performing property condition assessment and supervisory experience desired, or equivalent.
Within the last 3 years, have experience performing multifamily property condition physical needs assessments, completed a minimum of five property inspections, and reporting of property condition assessment findings in a manner consistent with these Instructions or ASTM E2018-08.
Within the last 2 years, have effectively completed not less than five multifamily energy and water audits that included:
An energy audit according to the guidelines of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Level 2 - Energy Survey Analysis;
A water audit equivalent in scope to the ASHRAE Level 2 using industry-accepted analytical methods;
Using industry-accepted energy modeling software; and
Using ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.
Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Access and Excel.
Experience in use of TREAT Modeling Software.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
A demonstrable track record of excellent time management skills combined with the capability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is essential.
The ability to do some limited domestic travel.
