The Data & AI Solution Global Solution Strategy Team in Microsoft Digital Solutions Strategy & Operations leads the Artificial Intelligence, Azure Analytics, and Data Estate strategy and aligned execution through Services, Commercial Business, Partners, and WW Industry and Public-Sector teams. We have a critical role in solution strategy, packaged offering development, as well as the programs that power the landing and adoption of our go-to-markets and field and sales enablement. Key to our success is working closely with our engineering partners in Research & Product Development, our sales and marketing partners and within our own Solution Strategies teams, as well as with the field delivery teams to ensure that our â€˜marketectureâ€™ is realized in implementations that delight our customers.
We are looking for a Program Architect/Data Scientist with consulting experience to collaborate with our partners to develop and land technical strategies and technical guidance to ensure alignment from sales to delivery across Microsoft, globally. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the Data & AI technical strategies across the Analytics and AI space in partnership with our Business Program Management team and key partners in other Solution Strategy teams, product engineering, the Services Data & AI leadership team, and other Digital HQ teams.
Work with others in the Data & AI Global Solution Strategy Team to strategize, envision, and plan Data & AI solutions and offerings that align and support Microsoftâ€™s analytics and AI strategy.
Leverage knowledge of technology trends to anticipate and recommend innovative solution offerings in emerging technologies and/or applications of technology in alignment with corporate and Digital strategy.
Work with Business Program Managers in the team to recommend proven solution architectures to support solution offerings that optimize technical delivery motions regarding customer value, cost, risks, market opportunity (timeliness), MSâ€™s strategic goals and field capabilities.
Work with key stakeholders across Solution Strategy & Operations, Enterprise Services, Digital Transformation, Customer Success, Commercial and Public Sector to align and support company business goals (campaigns, field go-to-markets & events).
Establish priorities for identifying, harvesting/creating, validating, landing and adopting IP-designed to accelerate customer adoption of Data & AI products and services in order to make our customers successful.
Work with Solution Program Managers to ensure a strong value proposition is embedded into appropriate content and programs across all of Servicesâ€™ portfolio of Data & AI-oriented solutions.
Ensure that sales and marketing messaging aimed at IT Decision Makers (ITDM) and Data Science teams exist and is aligned with and reinforces Business Decision Maker (BDM) messaging both around our overall Data & AI strategy as well as for specific GTMs and solutions.
Work across other Data and AI teams to ensure alignment on architecture guidance and best practices for customer solutions and multi-Domain engagement strategies.
Engage with all Services HQ Solutions Strategy Program teams to drive the inclusion of Data & AI as a fundamental architectural requirement of all advanced solutions provide architectural and engagement guidance to enable delivery of Data & AI capabilities in those advanced solutions.
Harvest IP from the field and develop generalized patterns from real delivery examples to ensure field best practices and experiences are reflected in our solutions and shared globally.
Help to shape the Enterprise Services strategy through the 3-year business plan, yearly execution plan, and sales playbooks, primarily by incorporating the corporate technical strategies and roadmaps.
4 years of experience designing and implementing Data Science/AI solutions, including large scale analytic solutions and systems that leverage predictive models for decision support.
10 years of experience consulting, preferably with Enterprise-scale organizations, managing programs or projects, driving outcomes through diverse groups, through influencing based on business value and shared priorities.
Strong problem-solving skills, a passion for analytics technology, and the ability to assess the risks and rewards of applying new technologies to the challenges faced by enterprise customers.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, internally and with customers at all levels, specifically the ability to make the complex technical issues of data science intelligible to non-technical audiences, so they can confidently make critical business decisions.
Highly desired experience/expertise:
a background of hands-on utilization of statistics and machine learning tools, including AI (neural networks), and an understanding of the relative strengths and weaknesses of different approaches to developing predictive/cognitive models for different problem types; a good grasp of the current opportunities and challenges in AI research, as well as the competitive landscape around AI including Open Source tools and platforms.
Education: an undergraduate degree in computer science or statistics and/or data, or equivalent experience. An advanced degree in a similar area will be a key differentiator.
Location/Travel: You will be based in Issaquah, WA, part of Microsoft HQ. Travel, perhaps globally, is expected to be less than 25%.
