MINNO & WASKO is currently looking for qualified Registered Architects to fill positions within our firm. This is a salaried full-time position. The Architect will be responsible for Project Development from Schematic Design through Construction Administration, communication with the client, coordination with Engineering Consultants, and coordination with other Architectural staff associated with the project. This project leader is a decision maker for design direction, materials, construction systems, project schedule and staffing needs. The candidate will lead 2-3 projects at various stages of development.
10-20 years’ experience in architectural design, documentation and construction administration.
Professional degree in Architecture required.
Confidence in project development and management of the design team.
Confidence with communication and coordination with the Client and the Engineering Consultants.
Candidate will be responsible for leading a team of 3-6 staff on a project from schematic design through contract documents, and into construction administration.
Experience in Multi-Family, Mixed-Use and Hotel project design and development, including mid-rise and high rise buildings preferred.
Experience in development of Project Specifications is a plus.
Proficiency in reviewing Building Codes and local regulations.
Proficiency in accessibility code requirements.
Proficiency in Revit required.
Photoshop, Sketch Up and 3D modeling experience beneficial.
Construction Administration experience.
Candidates will work in our Newark office located at 2 Gateway with convenient access to the Newark Penn Station.
