AutoCAD Jobs

An AutoCAD designer is responsible for preparing designs for various buildings, monuments, construction equipments or assemblies as required by the company. Typical duties of an AutoCAD designer include working closely with engineers and sales people in order to meet the design and profitability requirements, visiting construction sites, making schematic drawings, assembling graphical components of an assembly, allowing for tolerance in the architectural designs, checking for architectural design errors, reworking on the models designed, meeting with clients, taking feedback from clients and making relevant changes. An AutoCAD designer typically reports to a design manager.

An AutoCAD designer should have a degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, architectural engineering, or electrical engineering with a background or knowledge of AutoCAD designing. Excellent academic credentials is a plus. Prior experience as an AutoCAD designer may be advantageous. Strong technical knowledge in the relevant area of engineering is essential.
