Have you ever considered a career in architectural photography? This is one of the more rewarding architect jobs, as pictures of different structures can actually prove to be quite beneficial to architects. The reason for architecture jobs of this nature however, are to make sure that we keep photographs of our history, and to see the way that things once were. Another reason would be to give architects ideas to base their buildings on.

When you are taking architectural photos, you need to be careful that your pictures do not fall into the category of 'snaps'. This is where you just take pictures without any purpose. Instead it would help to focus on the interior structure, and most importantly, what held it together. Does the structure have more of a curved ceiling? Try to focus on the curves, and most importantly, try to get as much in the picture as you can.

When people look at these later on, especially those in architecture jobs and planner jobs, they will be able to tell a great deal about what type of society we were. Most importantly, you should focus your photo shooting campaign on buildings that are unusual or rare. Hotels are a great place to start snapping photos, because they are a great sign of current culture. This is definitely one of the more fun architecture jobs, because you are making yourself responsible for preserving our history.

Exterior shots of buildings can be equally beneficial. This is especially true if the building is unusual, some things you might want to look at is whether it just stands out, or whether it was built to dominate the surrounding area. Some good examples of dominant buildings are the Parliament building in England, and the white house in Washington D.C. Even though these buildings may be present in a hundred years, the area around them could change, which is very important to keep track of.

If the building has a feature that stands out, you need to focus specifically on that in your shot. Make sure that you frame it perfectly, and that it's very visible in your shot. Fortunately, we live in an age of digital cameras, which means that we will be able to look at our shots immediately after taking them. Some would say that this takes the skill out of photography, and maybe it does, but at least it results in much better pictures.

Architect jobs like this one can be very fun, and perhaps the best part is that you don't actually need an advanced degree to do it! You might wish to take some photography courses, or even have a degree in photography, though some people will actually find this to be rather fun. Truly, this is one of the better architect jobs to have, especially if you enjoy traveling and looking at different buildings. Perhaps years from now, when you look through the pictures that you have taken, you will think back and try to remember a time that it actually looked like that. Who's to say how much our world will change in the next ten years? The only way to tell is keep a record, and keep watching. Time will pass, and the world will change before you know it.
